Alaska Helicopter Wedding

Alaska Glacier + Alpine Elopement

Carlos + Mari’s Wedding

After having to change original wedding plans, these two decided that they wanted to get married in Alaska before moving down to the lower 48. They’ve been stationed in Valdez the past 3 years and wanted one last special experience to wrap up their Alaska adventure.

The most unique thing about their elopement is the date they chose: Summer Solstice. This is such an important celebration in Alaska culture. Not only is this the longest day of the year, where the sun never sets, but the entire state comes out this day for parades, block parties, huge camping excursions, annual marathons, and fishing all night long. It’s a celebration of life while embracing the Midnight Sun. This is also now a day that Carlos and Mari will remember fondly and reminisce on their Alaskan adventures for years to come. It was the perfect day and I am so happy they chose me to be a part of it.

Madison was absolutely incredible and such a pleasure to work with!

After canceling a wedding, the last thing we wanted to do was was plan a second one, however, Madison made the process fun, easy, and stress-free!

Our elopement day was originally scheduled for the second week of July, but then we decided to switch it to an earlier date, and Madison was extremely accommodating and patient with us. Within one week, Madison had organized and coordinated everything from a photographer, to hair + makeup, and even transportation!

As someone who always needs to be in control of things, is indecisive and “hard-to-please,” I would say Madison handled everything effortlessly. We were so lucky to have found someone as detail-oriented as her! She made our day one we will never forget, and we cannot thank her enough!

We had a wonderful elopement day and there is nothing we would change about this whole experience. For anyone considering an elopement, we strongly recommend Madison and AK Wild Hearts Events! Your day will be everything you imagined and well beyond your wildest dreams!
